Wyoming Linebacker killed in accident

LARAMIE -- Wyoming freshman football player Ruben Narcisse has died in a car accident, a source close to the situation confirmed Monday afternoon.

University officials have not confirmed the news, but the program, which regularly holds a press conference on Mondays, canceled this afternoon's proceedings. A release from UW is expected this afternoon.

Three other football players are believed to have been involved in the rollover accident in Colorado on U.S. Highway 287, which runs between Laramie and Fort Collins, Colo. Their conditions were not immediately known.

Terrible news. Hopefully, they can turn some part of this as a positive and use it as motivation like Connecticut did last year.

Sidenote: I had forgotten that Mizzou's old Offensive Coordinator was coaching Wyoming.

That's a horrible story. Unfortunately, I can't say I am surprised that the accident happened on that stretch of highway. When I lived in FTC, people were always dying in accidents on that road to Laramie. It's one of the most deadly streteches of highway in the country. Laramie and that University is such a tight-knit community...I really hope they can bounce back quickly from this.
