Mizzou's Tony Mitchell declared ineligible

"Prized Missouri basketball recruit Tony Mitchell has been ruled academically ineligible for the 2010-2011 season, Rivals.com’s analyst Jerry Meyer reported Wednesday.

Mitchell did not meet Missouri’s academic standards in time to enroll at the school, ending his freshman campaign before it could begin. Mitchell was the 12th-ranked recruit in the country, according to Rivals, and would likely have started as a small forward for the Tigers in 2010.

He will likely play overseas in Europe for a season before taking his game to the NBA."

As much as Mizzou sucks, I still feel for the kid. He was put through the ringer by a number of individuals that seemed to have 'his best interest' but ultimately fucked him.

This guy could be a hero by not enrolling. What a blessing by God. He may not understand it today but someday he'll thank his lucky stars he was never enrolled at MOO........
