I've said this all along-- all you have to do to fix this is to get the Greek community on board. I'm not saying they're the problem, but they're an organized mass of students.
As much as I would love it, there is no way this is going to happen. A little video like that, even if shown on the jumbotron before every game, isn't going to change it. Hell, they couldn't even show an example of the video. They've tried this before, and it's just destin for fail.
yeah, it actually is the best idea they've had. i'm not exactly offended by the RHFHO but using rock chalk is what we should have been doing for years, it almost makes too much sense. i just don't understand the video, it's horrendous, no one is going to send it around. why not have the guys doing the daily grind put something together. i hope they don't show that piece of shit on the jumbotron.
I don't know if these Morans will ever learn.
If they would just leave it alone, it would die out and be gone. A whole new freshmen class just came in with no idea of the chant. Then KU goes and brings it up and makes a huge deal about it. Well, you just added another class and year onto your problem.
It's a cultural thing. You have to have the student section police its own. You aren't going to get it done with mediocre videos, but ignoring the problem isn't going to help either.
If they want to fix it, they'll have to do better than half measures. That requires making it an issue at orientation, and making an effort to get the current undergrads to ditch 'RHFHO'.
You aren't going to change a culture with a mediocre viral video. You're going to have to get some face time with the students to discuss it.
Rubber bullets, all snipers target a section, anybody seen saying the chant gets blasted. Students rolling around, writhing in pain would be a message to those that didn't conform. Repeat until chant is stopped.
