Little League World Series - little frauds

This time of year pisses me off every year. ESPN has to make these little sorry bastards into pseudo celebrities for a month. The worst part about it is these kids aren't even close to the best little leaguers out there. They play the pussy brand of little league. Short fences, no lead offs, etc. The league they put on tv is weak, and would get destroyed by the good traveling teams out there. They would get destroyed by quite a few teams in Kansas, I mean run ruled in 3 innings.

Do people actually watch this crap? I had to vent because I am so sick of turning on the tv and seeing these weak little punks on there.

It is pretty fun to watch Chinese Taipei score 23 runs a game though.

But only because the other team generally sucks at anything close to defense.

This plus the constant pushing of the WNBA mystifies me. So much of ESPN's marketing is pushed by what will bring ratings (Hello orbiting Yankees/Red Sox/Mets/Lakers/Patriots/Cowboys/USC/Brett Favre/Cthulhu Death Star), so why are they trying to jam these two sports down our throats? I mean, is there actually a market for Little League (we already know there isn't one for the WNBA)?
