I believe Select-A-Seat begins today. I go on Wednesday morning, hoping to get a little bit better seats this year (will probably be hugely disappointed). Please post your experience with it this year as you go through. I am anxious to see if the transparency has any affect on seating this year. If you end up better off than you thought you would be.

Re: Select-A-Seat
It was a TREMENDOUS upgrade this year. One full section closer in, and many rows closer too. Same donation as last year, and I took advantage of the fire sale in January for the football season tickets.
They have the tables for the sections set up in the lobby of the Booth Hall. You have limited access to walk next to the tables beforehand (roped off a foot back or so). This also was a major benefit, as it allowed you to see what was available beforehand, and certainly streamlined the process for all involved.
Bumped into several phoggies along the way too. It was a great afternoon.

Re: Select-A-Seat
Definitely echo what has already been said. Was in the seat backs and now mid-court and row 3. Tremendous upgrade and the WEF said there appears to be vast improvement for many people.
The entire Jones fiasco was a real travesty to loyal fans. The bottom line is Lew was asleep at the wheel cause he was already at the top and only cared about money, nothing else.

Re: Select-A-Seat
Had mine this morning and also improved significantly. I would say about 8 rows and 2 sections closer to center court worth (that is quite a bit). I think there are 3 things contributing to this. 1) Obviously the fraud scandal 2) Some people ahead of us may have dropped out because they were fed up 3) I still believe they (the AD) was withholding tickets for people that hadn't given any and that is gone.
What I mean by the last one is, I think there were people that would go to the AD and say, "I will give you $25,000 this year, even though I don't have any points, but I want good seats" I think the AD was giving these people better seats than the people that have significantly more points, but because of transparency they can't continue this.
Another story, my uncle cut his contribution in half this year (very pissed about last year), and his seats moved up 15 rows this year. That's a lot of tickets that were unaccounted for, that most of us were screaming about for years. That is probably in the 500-1000 worth of tickets range that was fraudulently being used. Unreal.
