Can't wait for the first game. It seems like it's been forever since all the Mangino fallout BS.

I'll say 28-12 Jayhawks. I'm not sure how good our offense will be I'm just hoping we don't have a horrid dud year like in year's past. I have faith in Gill and his staff to get us ready by gameday.

This year is gonna hurt old Aerosol.

Thing to look for in the opener is.. running game. We are going to need to chew clock to keep our d off the field this year lest we take some brutalizing punishment. I was really hoping thats where old Toben The Pain Train Opurum would come in this fall but as of 20 minutes ago when I got home from work and read he will be either redshirting or at LB.. I guess it will have to be Angus. I am cool with that, I would like to shout "ANNNNGUUUUUUUSS!!" in a scottish accent during fits of ecstasy to my bemused friends and girlfriend.. yeah, I think I could get on board with that. The other backs could be nice, but they are smaller, speedier types.. and yes they would be better suited to keeping up with Pick in an option read scheme.. but I dont think Pick running an option offense, spread or otherwise is going to be what we need. I think we will need a solid short yardage dependable running game to keep opponents offenses idle and limit their posessions. So lets hope we can physically dominate up front against NDSU and really put a licking on their defenders with Angus.
