Not atypical of a Bill Self schedule...hasn't paid off in National Championships, but definitely gets them ready for conference play

Yeah, zaga the only other one with an even respectable SOS.

I find Furman's top 25 AP ranking hilarious.

Michigan's hasn't been too bad either.

I'll guess Michigan is the last team to lose. No more road games until January 10 and only have 1-2 potentially challenging games in that time (Penn State and Indiana). Next guess would be Nevada.

If Nevada wins tonight, they may be undefeated by tourney time.

                  Make that 9 unbeatens.

Gonzaga goes down to the UT team we barely beat. So I guess Duke will re-leapfrog us again for #1.
ASU loses to Nevada, setting up an undefeated regular season for Nevada.

Honestly, after our close wins against teams we should have handily beat, I wouldn't have a problem with us dropping in the rankings. I know that's not how it works, and we'll probably be #1, but I don't think we've earned it, at this point.

I agree that we are overrated, but someone has to be no. 1. And honestly, who could be said to "deserve" it at this point in the year? Rhetorical question, Farley! No one.

I decided yesterday, that the rankings, pre-conference should be what you have earned. Once conference play starts, and the losses start creeping in, they should flip to who the voters think is the best team. Maybe that seems stupid, but I figure once you are only playing in your conference, you can't really earn spots over ranked teams in other conferences, though the mid-season inter-conference games could help with that.

I agree that no one has really earned the #1 spot, but for me, the eye test tells me that Duke is clearly the best team at this point of the season. That being said, I feel that rankings are totally useless now and at the end of the season.

There is a good chance we lose 3 unbeatens in the next 2 days

                            Furman@LSU
                            TTU playing Duke in MSG
                            Buffalo @ Marquette

Outside chance of Houston losing to Utah State

If we include Saturday we could lose too. So possibly 4-5 in the next 3 days. Fun times.

I don't think Nevada will lose a conference game. Setting up a perfect regular season.
