That must be the ESPN/"Coaches" Poll, not AP.

KU was #2 in the ESPN Poll, #3 in AP. I'm interested to see how much love (#1 VOTES) Kansas gets from AP writers and editors.

I think the order will be about the same for the top 5, with maybe more love shown to Purdue.

Would've liked to be number 1, its good recognition...but oh well.

One thing I've learned from poll watching (a truly vapid pursuit) is that the majority of sports personalities (writers/editors, coaches, assistants, commentators) are from Big East, Big Ten and ACC schools. Therefore those leagues are perceived to be superior head-to-head with any other schools and conferences, including Pac-10, Big XII, SEC and all the others. I've seen evidence of this bias for over 25 years. It's, for me, undeniable.

New coaches poll: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/rankings How is Nova still ranked? No Temple, X, UCLA, KState???

Well under those arguments towards Andy Katz, wtf is Kentsucky still ranked? Similar record 20-8 as Nova (21-8) in a much softer conference.

And except for some random first place votes...AP doesn't look that much different:

I think if any of our past three games were close, we might have gotten some love. but sleepwalky wins over colorado and the sad little oklahoma schools by a combined SIXTY FIVE POINTS doesn't earn us a second number rank.
