The fact is, and it is a fact, Elijah Johnson has played pretty darn well when given the minutes. Eight times he’s played at least 17 minutes and every one of them found him with a double-digit EFF.
Here is a set of stats you find anywhere else. When playing 17+ minutes, here are the times each of the smalls (including Little) have reached double-figures in EFF versus the number of times they have not.

I think the point is that when given the chance to play, Johnson has performed very well. With TT out and coming off a 30-minute game, that should allow him to play quite a few more minutes. Of course, the next game is on the road to Oklahoma. And, then it’s ranked A&M at home and then Mizzou on the road. So, none of these situations will be as ideal as OSU at home. Nevertheless, he deserves his shot.

No doubt Brady is playing the best of any guard we have now. Has been since Big 12 play started. But to say he was our best guard at the beginning of the season when he was shooting poorly is insane. He was horrible. He led the team in turnover rate. He was shooting 25% and had an ast/to ratio of less than 1.5 (including the 10 assist game vs. N.Texas - 1/3 of his assists).

I love the argument "if we disregard his good games he sucks". Yes, he struggled in the first few games, however who was REALLY playing better at PG. Controlling the ball, passing inside, solid (not stellar) defense. The guy was one of the strongest, and is now by far the strongest.
