  • MethU's Cold Hard Facts

The cold, hard facts in the middle of what has become a cold, hard winter for Missouri basketball are these:

•Missouri is 0-5 in Big 12 conference road games.

•The Tigers have only three more opportunities to win a Big 12 conference road game.

•And if they don’t, the NCAA Tournament selection committee has to think long and hard before issuing Missouri an invitation to its Big Dance.

Let's not forget that they self-reported somewhere around 76 secondary NCAA violations just recently as well.

the best parts of the article are all the moral victories they took from leading by 6 at one point in the first half, and only losing by 4 at half.

yes, ignore that 2nd half beat down

is that a high or low number for self reporting?

When we move the ball, play unselfish basketball, make the extra pass, we can get whatever we want.

(A quote from the article from a Missouri player)

Ah, but there lies the rub - Missouri doesn't do this, has never done this on a consistent basis, and probably won't do it in the future. In the first half they did this for awhile, and they looked damn good. But then the Mizzou that we know and make fun of took over, and it was a five second possession followed up an ill advised, well guarded three point attempt.

I'm sorry, but for a Missouri player to say that is akin to an Iowa State player saying If we outrebound the other team by 10 and hit 75% of our shots we're tough to beat. It just ain't gonna happen.

As a Kansas fan I'm concerned that Bill Self is spending all this time researching Missouri violations.
