  • Thoughts on Woolridge

The fact that we didn't redshirt him gives me the feeling that Self isn't worried about guard play in the future. With EJ being around awhile, and if Nadir Tharpe is as good as hyped, whats the future rotations look like?

Also does the potential NBA Lockout play a factor? If Selby can't go pro and sticks around, will Woolridge play?

I think Woolridge will fit in at some point, just not now. Either that or he'll be Jeremy Case. I like him and wish him well mainly because he committed so early and he really wants to be a Jayhawk.

He could also be another Michael Lee. Just someone that grows in the program and is able to contribute 10-15/game by the time they are a Jr/Sr.

I assume you mean minutes here since he only averaged about 5 pts per game his senior year.

          Yes, minutes.

I love that the kid wants to be a Jayhawk. I just don't know how often he will see the floor.

With the recruits we have locked up already, what year will he finally hit? Maybe a few minutes next year, but after that I don't know.

You'll always need that 8th or 9th guy to come in for a spark or change things up. He might never crack the starting line-up, but many of us thought the same of Brady when he was recruited. You just never know when it will click for a player or when an opportunity to play more will come around.
