  • Thomas Robinson's Twitter

I don't usually do this sort of thing but I gotta post this.

I will only pose this simple question without going off the deep end about it.

Did this team actually learn anything from tonight? :facepalm

"he who laughs last laughs loudest"

i guess i'm just disapointed in how we acted tonight. and this comment shows me that they don't have their head on straight. i don't understand what is so hard about simply playing the game and having your play speak for itself. what if we lose our composure against a good team?

Thats weird, for some reason I can't see that tweet. All I see is the "#nodaysoff" tag.

Anyways, I'm not too worried. Robinson is always going to be a competitor. Gutierrez had his freaking arm in TRob's neck. I'm not going to get on him for that.

Back to the city! He who laugh last laughs the loudest #nodaysoff I'm out dc here I come!

kind of nitpicky but after tonight i dont want to hear any gloating like that. we acted like babies tonight to be honest. mcmorris with an intentional elbow, morningstar flipping the ball, jawing back and forth. i cant stand that kind of stuff. my big concern is if we act like that against a good team what would happen? we gave in to the taunts and the lead went from 17 to 4. we do that crap against duke or ohio state. we are done for. just my two cents. i will step off my soapbox now.

Eh, he's 20. I should hope he has a competitive streak to him, and trash talking comes with it. That kind of attitude keeps a player focused and determined throughout the game. Without that we could fall into a rut and eventually lose.

This is that "killer instinct" that people talk about.

i totally see where you are coming from. it was just kind of the icing on the cake for me seeing that. i totally want this team to be tough and have a killer instinct. it is a fine line you walk between being tough and being uncomposed(out of control). we went over the line tonight. kind of embarrassed watching replays of the elbow by marcus. and i really dont want people to see us as a dirty team. the main point in all of this is i just wish we could see that the lead went from 17 to 4 because of the way they acted. we do that against the top teams we get thumped. trob is a beast no doubt. i like the enthusiasm and everything he brings. but i will say there is a time where you be quiet and just play.

you can't fault Brady or Trob for their T's. Brady got elbowed in the face and Trob was getting raped...

The refs should have taken control of the game after McMorris got ejected, but tehy didn't. They let the players abuse each other all over the court and it kept getting worse. The officiating was spotty as hell.

I agree with what you said about TRob. I don't understand why he got T'd up. Brady should have walked away, but he did get an elbow swung at him. Marcus, that was just dumb.

The officials did a horrible job. Ponytail boy should have been ejected and the first TRob foul was just bogus. Ponytail shoved him in the back under the basket, intentionally tangled himself up in Robinson, and then flopped like the bitch he is.

This may be the biggest non-issue in years.

This team has what last year's team didn't in amount of team swagger. Sherron had swagger and it seemed like he was fine with being the only one who had it. This entire team carries swagger, for good or bad.

Marcus was an idiot and the ejection was warranted, but what I saw from Trob and Brady, I didn't mind.

A little bit of a "take no shit" attitude is needed on the basketball court. The 2008 team would mix it up if they needed too.

When I go to the games in person I watch both Morris boys a lot. They pull cheap shit all the time. Whether it is baiting someone into a shoving match, shoulder bumping a guy on a dead ball, or intentionally twisting an arm into a guy to draw a foul, they do a lot of cheap shit. Against Arizona Marcus kept intentionally shoving a guy while "acting" like he was just putting his arms out to play defense. That's when you get into trouble and it could be our downfall this season. Marcus intentionally hitting that guy in the head was a bullshit punk move and I feel like he should sit the next game because if he gets tossed for doing some shit like that in the NCAA tournament we'll be fucked. We'll play much better teams than Cal then. And he needs to learn to be a better leader.

TRob carries just the right amount of swagger to me.

What team was it that the 2008 team got really physical and shoving occurred? Was it Iowa State?

I remember Russell Robinson being one of the main guys in it, which really surprised me.

I think so. RR was a stud. I think the ISU guy pulled some shit against Mario and RR had a I'm going to kill you look.
