I've wanted to do this thread for a long time on ToOS, but don't want to get railed on for no reason

If we lost HCBS, who would you want to hold the reigns?

I love Danny, but I'm not sure that he's a head coach type....I would love to have Jamie Dixon, I think he's got some serious talent

Jamie Dixon would be a great call.

Wouldn't mind a run at Tubby Smith. I don't think he'd leave MN though.

I would think Danny would get first dibs and be a shoe-in though.

Jay Wright and Jamie Dixon are always mentioned.
There aren't many schools that have their pick of anybody out there and it looks like we are one of them.
Little different than when we had to hire an unknown assistant from North Carolina.

Speaking of hypothetical, would KU ever consider Cal? His roots are here and he's a great recruiter. If we had a good assistant coach to teach the importance of free throws would he ever be considered?

Or would KU not want the risk he brings?

Interesting option. I wonder how he will do over the next few years. Another one to consider is Bulter's Stevens. I'm thinking San Antonio/NBA might be Self's only option down the road. Unless we go Kentucky on him and he flees to Minnesota, he's probably here until retirement or being fired.
