RockChalkTalk gives an update on what our recruits are doing this year.
God, I hope we get Darrian Miller: 33 rush for 271 yards and 3 touchdowns (48, 65, 1) .
Tully argues that Mangino never capitalized on the Orange Bowl.
"Well, Mark Mangino, to put it plainly, whiffed. Immediately following the Orange Bowl year, he signed two (supposed) four-star recruits, one of which never played at KU, the other of which ran for less than 300 yards in one season. He signed another four-star guy the next season who is now a senior backup defensive end and another who is a backup linebacker. He wasn't even a factor in the recruitment of Justin McCay, the best player in the state of Kansas in 2009, or any other Top 100 player, for that matter.
Basically, there is no evidence on the current Kansas roster that television games or bowl appearances do anything for recruiting."
