  • Turd has been laid

I know it, you know it

we looked like boys among men out there today

still like our team and our coach, but corrections MUST be made

the defense was just pathetic today....as always though, the Oline will win games...but not this oline

      Turd has been laid

I have said this every game and am already getting tired of saying it, but a complete lack of team speed continues to kill us. All the Gill haters can take a seat, because this has been and will be a talent issue. We regularly get beat in the secondary, our LBs get beat when the run goes wide, and our special teams can't cover. Speed makes up for talent, but sadly talent can't make up for lack of speed.

I know I know that the coach's job is to have his players ready to execute, and we didn't today. However, when a pass is completed and the WR has no where to run because their CB easily stayed with him, that is not an execution problem.

These are Mangino's players folks. Even the "great Orange Bowl coach" couldn't win with these guys. Need proof? We had MUCH better talent last year and he lost over, and over, and over. I'll give Gill time to get his players in there, but if Gill can't be competitive with lesser talent, no big time talent will ever consider coming to KU.

At this point I am not really asking for wins. All I want to see is steady improvement. I want to see Gill building a program that can last. Whether it's fair or not he will be judged on this season and if he wants to make it to a 3rd season he better make steps in this one.

Our lack of team speed is significant. Our Lines are Gawd awful.

I agree with you Chem. I have to say though that a faster line would greatly improve the team as a whole. We can't pull a guard for the run cause he's too slow to make a block. Our DL gets beat on the outside because we can't keep up.
