IF the KU/MU game ever moves back to campus we would play at Tech, Oklahoma, Kansas State, and Missouri all in one year. That shit is brutal.

I hate the OU-KSU-Texas stretch.... Especially when we play on the road in Norman and Manhattan on back to back weeks.

        Re: 2011-Forever Big 12 Schedules

I would favor all teams having one neutral site game each year. If this could be the rivalry game, so much the better. Then there would be an even four home, four away conference games each year.

Texas-Oklahoma and Kansas-Missouri are great examples. Not sure how the others would line up. Possibly ISU-KSU as has been done the last two years, Tech-A&M and that leaves Baylor-OSU.

Maybe not ideal for some, but would allow even home and away and one neutral site game each year.

Have they said if we are keeping the championship game? I assume so (don't want to lose the revenue).

I thought you COULDN'T have a champ game without at least 12 teams

pac 10 and big 10 come to mind

Oh so you can't? I thought those conferences were just choosing not to have them (easier to get your big name teams into BCS Title games).

                Re: 2011-Forever Big 12 Schedules

That may be....for some reason I thought I heard that was a rule and one reason that they wanted to expand

I could very well be wrong, though

                  Re: 2011-Forever Big 12 Schedules

It was my understanding that you can't have one if you don't have at least 12 teams. As Joe said, that was a big reason the Big 10 and Pac 10 wanted to expand. I guess it would be the BCS's rule wouldn't it?

I'm lazy and don't like to look things up.

No championship game. Must have 12 teams. LOL at KSU for having to play @KU 2 years in a row. Although KU goes to ISU this year and next year.

I just don't understand why the Big 12 isn't getting aggressive in finding replacements for NU and CU. CU is much easier to replace and I think adding Louisville would more than make up for CU. Finding a replacement for NU would be tough.

Arkansas is a stretch. I think the Arizona teams probably are too. BYU is still floating around...

I wouldn't mind having memphis basketball honestly...but who knows what they're thinking

I think BYU is postured exactly where they want to be

Geogprahy-wise, I would imagine Air Force might at least be on the radar.

Right now, I hope their primary concern is stabilizing the 10 schools we currently have. THEN going out to find replacements.

The Big 12 will never be able to rip away a Pac-12 or SEC team. Especially Arkansas or Zona/ASU.

What, pray tell, would be the appeal of Air Force to the Big 12?

This was my reaction when I found out about playing in Lawrence for two years in a row
