NFL Schedule to go to 18+2

According to Bill Polian, Colts GM, it is pretty much a sure thing the NFL is going to go the 18+2 schedule.

Yes, there are links, but I am lazy, and its been documented before.

I think this is a terrible idea. As much as I hate the preseason, and like the NFL, 18 game regular season is just too long. They should have just chopped 2 preseason games and went 16+2.
There will be more injuries, careers will become even shorter, and players are going to want more money to for the longer seasons.

Fantasy football season is already too long for me, by December I am already tired of making sure my players don't have bye weeks.

Once again, proof that the owners don't care about their players.

I'd like to hear from ztella about the labor dispute in the NFL right now. I wonder if the players in the league up north have any thoughts about this mess.

I would imagine that the players up North would gladly take the NFL salaries to play 2 more games.

It could see it diluting the product a bit. Having a "short" season is one of the things that makes football great!
