That place will be nuts today. My drive home from work yesterday going 430 to 40 to Conway was a mess with all the people heading up to Fayetteville. Post some updates from the game.

Its 3 hours until game time still but theres easily 40k people around the stadium tailgating...lots of alabama fans though considering...they travel well posting some photos on twitter as the day rolls by

Basically, Evolve parked in a seemingly free space (no signs or marks). He came back and the owner demanded money, wouldn't let him leave. Owner called cops. Evolve managed to get away for $4. Cops came, yelled at owner for false alarm.

You forgot that owner jumped on hood of Evolve's car and sat there so he couldn't drive a way. Also, Evolve told owner's girlfriend to fuck off, so the guy tried to hang assault charges on him.

LOL that he settled the thing for 4 bucks. Arkansas people must be hard hit by the recession.

Ok, I thought you were being sarcastic so I didn't tell it


Basically, here's what happened

I parked like 1.2 miles from the stadium....there was no house on that lot, it was empty, there was a bit of gravel....this block was basically deserted except for a duplex across the street and down 1 lot.

Everything in Fayetteville within a good mile, mile and a half of the stadium has signs up on gameday saying "15 dollar parking, 20 dollar parking"..whatever. Well, this lot was empty, there were no residents, another car was there, and there were maybe 2 houses on this entire block/block and a half of street....it was basically deserted. So I parked there.

Fast forward 7-8 hours to after the game

Game was over, I was tired as fuck and have been sick, got back to my car and this asshole's sitting on my car and wouldn't let me leave. All I wanted to do was walk away and leave....he had put traffic cones behind other cars that hadn't paid him...(btw, there was still no parking fee sign).

I pointed out I didn't know it was his property obviously, and it wasn't marked so I assumed I could park there.....the dude absolutely flips out. Mind you, this kid's maybe 23, 24 tops...about 5'7", stocky build....and I'm 6'6", 340 lbs...so he flips out, gets in my face and talks about me disrespecting his property and he' s going to get me towed....unless I pay. The concessions don't take cards at Razorback games and I had like 4 bucks on me, so I told him dude, I don't have 20 bucks...what do you want me to do? But he didn't give me a way out...so I got in my van and went to back out..put the thing in reverse and backed up a few inches hoping he'd move...he was a good 4 feet behind my car at that point and just flips out...so I stop, get out, and he's going off and ready to go after me.

In come the crazy bitch.....she walks across the street holding some little toy long hair dog and looking all shitty at me...and starts in on the SAME shit (who do I think I am, does this look like public parking) that he just gave me...so I told her to shut the fuck up and leave it between him and I. Turns out this Hilton wannabe is his fiance/girlfriend and he takes after me...another friends restraining him from trying to "beat my ass", he then just calls the cops. He's ranting, raving telling them he has someone parked there, that I tried to run over him, and he wants to press trespassing and assault charges...

So Cops are on their way...and it's taking forever because the game just got out and traffic's just deadlocked. The whole time he's steaming and telling me how lucky I am his friend's stopping him from kicking my ass, and how dare I talk to his girl like that. He keeps going off about how he has 5 witnesses I tried running him over I'm going to jail and going to have my car towed...it's just all surreal and I was trying to grasp how this had gotten out of hand so fast. They're all sitting on my car and I can't go anywhere. so we wait...and wait....we probably waited 20-30 minutes and cops still hadn't quite made it...finally he goes and talks to his girlfriend, and he decides to just take what money I have and if I apologize to her, he'll just let me go.

I gladly fork over the 4 bucks I had and go apologize to his girlfriend.

I get in my car, and am going to pull away when the Fayetteville PD finally show...so I stop, and wait a minute. Cop comes up, talking to the dude about the report, and he tells the cop we worked it out for a couple bucks and an apology. Cop then proceeds to rip his ass for wasting their time at such a busy time if we hadn't tried to resolve it.....I just drive the fuck out of there before he changes his mind after hearing that.

Long story short, dude wasted about 45 minutes of my time and his time and about had a heart attack over what ended up being 4 bucks.


Personally, I wish he had tried attacking me...I would have beat his ass.

All things considered, I was just happy to get the fuck out of there without getting towed, although I have a hard time believing the Cops would have towed me considering it wasn't marked and right on the road...I had no indications it was even private property.

The dude was obviously drunk (as were his friends) and he was in a really shitty mood that the hogs lost. He stated when he decided to let me know that I was lucky I was a razorbacks fan, that it made him feel generous....little did he know I had just bought the shirt to blend in before the game for 10 bucks at walmart.
