  • Nebraska fans

I've decided I really am going to miss them in the Big 12. They provide a lot of comic relief. They have overrun my hometown of Seattle the last few days. We went to Outback tonight for dinner and there they all were in all their Cornhole glory. Only Nebraska fans would come to Seattle and pass on some of the best seafood and/or Asian cuisine around to dine at Outback.

(and before you all judge me for going to Outback, I really wanted a steak tonight and Outback is the best steak we can get if we have kids in tow).

I did congratulate them on their big win and made it known I was a Jayhawk. I told them I would have rooted for them today out of conference loyalty had they not shit all over that loyalty a few months ago.

I won't miss them at all. Before the 76 pt game we beat them in some drunken Cornhole asshole leaned over and screamed Huskers! At the top of his lungs at my then 18 month old daughter as she was decked out in her cheerleading outfit walking to the game south of the stadium. In hindsight, I probably should have decked him. Classy fans my ass. I am sick of dealing with their shit all my life.

As far as I'm concerned, Nubb, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. --->

Last season's game was miserable. We had a NU fan right behind us who was just obnoxious as hell.

They can fuck off and rot in hell for all I care.

Sorry, still going to chastise you for going to Outback. That place is garbage. :dirtybird

I like Outback, and I don't give a shit what you all think of me for it. What's not to like? Their steaks are pretty good, cheese fries are money (ranch is the best), and service is always good.

              Re: Nebraska fans

The only group of fans I will paint with a broad brush are the grapes. Probably because I'm around them all damn day and live 15 minutes from Mantucky. My wife is a Husker so I've watched several of their games. I can handle cheering for them and will definitely do so when they're in the Big 10 next year.

I'm going to the NU/KSU game next month and can't wait for the grapes to get demolished at home.

I'm hoping to get tickets to the KU/NU game in November and have a business connection in Nebraska that's working on getting a couple tickets so I'll definitely be wearing my blue on that day.

Sometimes I hate Nebraska fans, other times I don't really mind them. To me, they are the most arrogant group of fans I've ever come across, and I wouldn't mind that so much, if like, they had anything to back it up in the last 10 years or so. You know, a conference championship, or any type of championship really would do.

On the other hand, they generally have a respect for KU, which I appreciate. And after this year I won't ever have to give a shit about them again, which is nice.

I should mention I have a good friend who I went through KU with, but he was the biggest Husker fan I've met. I've never been able to comprehend how you can go to a BCS school like KU, yet cheer for another school when they're playing each other. WTF?

Do us all a favor and next time you see her give her a class A cunt punt.

I started KU in the fall of 1982 and KU was my team despite bball kind of sucking at the time and football not all that great soon after my arrival. I was for KU despite that though. I knew guys from St. Louis going to school at KU and it was almost like they were MU fans. I knew some guys from Oklahoma that were basically OU fans, really thought KU sucked. To a degree they were right at the moment but karma reared its ugly head in 1988!!!!!!!

I really don't have any issues with Husker fans. Neighbors back home, friend from grad school, current boss, and BIL's wife are all fans and good people. The only real jackass Husker fan I know is a former roommate.

It's pretty much impossible to find a good corn bbs'er on the internet. By the way, LOL at this thread:

15-20 years ago, maybe. Now, stadiums in the North fill themselves.

I used to respect Nebraska fans as well. And to be fair I've worked with several and they are decent folks. Like many fan bases, when they get on the bbs's, many become jerks. Especially with the transition to the Big 10. That is why I now feel the way I do towards those guys...
