I plan on being there and I think you've met Hayden before. I assume he'll be there too. Should be fun.

I recently moved back to Wichita, but I lived in Tulsa for 20 years. We had season tickets for football and basketball and traveled to Lawrence for most home games (3 1/2 hr drive each way), but saw a lot of the away games at the Brook over the years. It was always a good feeling to see all the Jayhawk fans gathered in one place. A rarity in Tulsa. They tried to put the KU fans in the back behind the glass windows, but we were scattered around the place. We would go to the Fox & the Hound alot also, but the Brook usually had a bigger KU following. That is also one of the things I miss about Tulsa. Whenever I would run into someone with a KU shirt, a short pleasant conversation followed. Now I find myself having those same conversations with people in OU gear.
This Friday I agreed to play poker with old high school friends and I will probably be the only Jayhawk in the room. If KU loses, it will be a long night. Hopefully I will be taking all their money so I will have the last laugh. It always amazes me how much so many Wichita State fans hate KU, I think worse than your average KSU fan.
Living in Tulsa was honestly better as a KU fan than living in Wichita. In KU wherever I went in a KU shirt i would always get a Rock Chalk from a random stranger. I went to a BBQ festival in Tulsa and there were some KU grads competing so I hung with them and ate a TON of their food for free. I never went to any of the watch parties, but did band together with some guys in the apartment complex to watch together. Here in Wichita, its the cold shoulder. Obviously there are a lot more KU fans here, but there is little KU spirit.
