Some developments:
-There's a possibility of Spring Training being delayed due to high COVID count in Maricopa County
-The Players' Union rejected an offer from ownership of Universal DH in exchange for expanded playoffs. I'm in favor of the universal DH but playoff expansion would make individual games even less meaningful (and interesting) than they are now and incentivize mediocrity. Not worth the trade-off IMO.

Royals are projected for about 79 wins. Could actually have meaningful baseball clear into summer, or even fall!

My SO is a Padres fan. They’re gonna be a lot of fun to watch. Can’t wait to drink a cold beer in the sun at Petco Park this summer.

79 seems a little high, but I’m glad they’re not trying to tank like so many other non-contenders.

Playoffs have become a joke in almost every sport. I miss the old-school Pennant Race approach where the top two teams in each league play each other to go to the World Series. Every game should count and with every playoff expansion I lose interest -- no matter the sport.
