        Royals team awards announced today.

Davis pitcher of the year, which I'm cool with.

Cain getting player of the year over Gordon seems dumb to me. But he did have a hell of a postseason and Gordon was mostly AWOL in the playoffs.

BeyondTheBoxScore (sb nation saber site) projects the Royals bullpen to be worth 4.7 WAR. That's pretty damn good.

Next closest was NYY at 3.5.

I have no idea how that's calculated, but it actually seems low.

Probably seems low because the bullpen studs will only pitch 100ish innings each next year. Essentially combining to be 1.5 starters in terms of IP. So in that sense, it's really damn good.

                  Scherzer to Nationals. Yay.

One of these days, VMart and Cabrera will begin to fade. If it happens this year, this division is wide open.

I don't expect VMart to hit like he did last year and we'll see if Cabrera can stay healthy.

If just 2 of the Royals signings pan out (semi long shot) then it's pretty easy to say they'll make a run for the division.

Brewers are the latest team I believe. They're trying to trade Gallardo and then pick up Shields to replace him.

That Scherzer deal is just ridiculous. He's pretty good, but not worth that kind of money. Strasburg will make less than $8MM this year. Baseball and sports in general, economics are just absolutely stupid.

The annual Royals HOF talk is going on. Got me thinking about this roster and what Royals HOFers we have.

Gordon and Holland are locks. Perez is right behind them. Then Cain and Hos are in with a couple good years IMO.

Ventura is our best shot at an actual HOFer.

                            Am I missing anybody?

I think Sal actually has the best shot for the real HoF.
