WtW Nerds -- Halo tonight?

I'm not personally getting it right away, but I know quite a few people that are getting it tonight...I'm not a HUGE fan, but I've played em all...however, I usually wait to hear a few user reviews before I purchase

I like the singe player well enough but I'm not a fan of Halo multi-player.

I'm getting it tomorrow from Amazon. So probably tomorrow night.

I really enjoyed the other Halo games, but didn't go apeshit over them like most. From the reviews I have ready by people who are in the same boat as me they LOVE this one, so I'm excited.

what is it they like? I just hate MP where there is all the frenzy and jumping nonsense. I've always enjoyed the mechanics/strategy of Gears and CoD and the like. Of course, I was weened on Rainbow Six PC games.

I've messed around with Halo on occasion. It's a fun distraction for a little bit, but not something I'd invest a lot of money in. Fortunately, my roommate will probably buy it since he just spontaneously buys expensive things for the apartment.

They say the single player has even better combat and is more enjoyable to play.

There is a Firefight mode like ODST (I guess... I didn't play that one) that is supposedly very much improved, this is the thing that is you VS AI like in GoW2.

Plus the AI Co-Op is supposedly much improved with the jump in and out.
