Tough call. Martin was such a part of the original cast, hosting many times in the Chase-Belushi-Ackroyd-Radner era. But then again so was Buck Henry, and in later times people like Alec Baldwin. If it's opened up that far, then any host qualifies. So I'll render the verdict that Steve Martin, since he was never part of the Not Ready For Prime Time Players, does NOT qualify.
