Do you have one? what are your thoughts...I know size depends on the room, but my gf doesn't like em, and I think they're awesome for storing the remote, magazines, my feet, etc
We recently got new family room furniture and opted for a big leather storage ottoman as a coffee table. We still have two end tables for lamps, remotes, drinks, etc. But the ottoman is great...it's big enough to store all the blankets we like to keep downstairs, as well as a few other things we want out of sight. The top flips over to a hard surface if we want to put food or drink on it.

That's what we have too. Works wonders, but we use it to store toys and stuff that we don't want littered around the living room.
If you don't have kids and toys . . . . well . . . .

THIS! I use mine purely as a toy storage device. Company on its way over? What better then the age old "stuff everything in the toy chest". Works wonders!

I have several coffee tables but I've never placed a cup of coffee on any of them.
Where the hell else are you going to put all the remote controls?
I'm deeply suspicious of somebody who "doesnt like em" (sic).

I guess she just thinks they make a room look cluttered...currently I just leave my shit wherever I want to...hopefully she'll get so annoyed that she'll go buy me one
but in all seriousness, I like the ottoman idea...will have to start looking at those

Toys is what I meant when I said "other things". I was just trying to avoid referencing my kids out of fear that Enfuego would suddenly show up. Just trying to keep this place midget-free for you all.
