• Department of Justice ditches red, white and blue stars and stripes

Well, how interesting! It seems the U.S. Department of Justice has changed its website. Gone are the colorful red, white and blue U.S. flag decorations on the page,

replaced by stark black and white.

And at the top of the page, is a rather interesting quote:

"The common law is the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people."

Catchy, huh? Just one tiny little (too small to be relevant obviously) point -- the quote is from C. Wilfred Jenks, who in the 1930's was a leading proponent of the "international law" movement, which had as its goal to impose a global common law and which backed ‘global workers' rights.'

Call it Marxism, call it Progressivism, call it Socialism -- under any of those names it definitely makes the DOJ look corrupt in their sleek, new black website with Marxist accessories to match.

    See for yourself: http://www.justice.gov/

How very interesting that 'they' couldn't find a nice quote from one of our Founders. People, we have lost our Republic. We need to get it back ASAP.

Common law is the system of deciding cases that originated in England and which was latter adopted in the U.S.

Common law is based on precedent (legal principles developed in earlier case law) instead of statutory laws. Common law is civil actions one to another where a tort (or wrong) is shown by real damages and to fix blame and determine compensation or restitution.

The U.S. is a common law country. In all states except Louisiana, which is based on Napoleonic code (not much different than common law), the common law of England was adopted as the general law of the state, or varied by statute. Today almost all common law has been enacted into statutes with modern variations by all the states.

In the USA a person can face both statutory law prosecuted by the state or federal government and civil action for the same offence.

Broad areas of the law, such as property, contracts and torts are traditionally part of the common law. Because these areas of the law are mostly within the jurisdiction of the states, state courts are the main source of common law. The area of federal common law is primarily limited to federal issues that have not been addressed by a statute.

In the USA no common law, or statute, can not go against the State or Federal constitution, regardless of what some subcultures desire other wise.

In a general sense common laws are universal rights and wrong tested over the history of man kind, that are larger than any one person, group of people, or a nation of people, in order to have justice and to fix blame where property and people are damaged by each other. Common laws over ride and are superior to customs and cultures. Custom and cultures can be savage and barbaric, where as common laws seek out the better goods.

You can have a custom and or a culture of raiding (robbery), raping, and murders, but common laws forbid this behavior, as it is universally wrong to damage your neighbor no matter what the customs or culture may be, regardless of what any holy books, or God, may say to the contrary.

The will of man kind can be horribly wrong and misguided as history has shown many times over; hence we have common laws for positive, beneficial, guidance to the individual and to society.

Common laws depend on the philosophy of universal rights and wrongs, and the philosophy of justice as compensation and No cruel and unusual punishments, rather than naming and listing each offence as in statutory law.

The classic example would be to “love others as yourself” where as you would not want to be robbed so do not rob others. The statement has untold applications. In addition the punishment must meet the crime and not be over bearing as to be cruel, or too light as to enable wrong doing.

This is law 101, learned in the first week at any first year law class.

It is easy to see Obama does NOT have a clue what he doing with the USA justice department. He is as dumb as a stump and trying to destroy the foundations of the USA with some crap from a Marxists/union hand book. I beginning to doubt he ever went to Harvard and learned something. I bet he failed lunch.

Wake up people! It's happening all around you!

I didn't read your post, but I disagree.

I guess I'm just a typical apathetic American.

        Outrage! Cover Lady Justice's Bewbs!

After reading it a second and third time, I didn't believe it is possible to use so many words to get no where with any type of argument. But since you didn't write it, and only reposted it, I guess my gripe isn't with you, you have just been proven a sheep without an original thought.

The DMV sucks. They make us wait in lines like cattle. Then just when I get to the front of the line, they take lunch.

So if enough crazy people bitch to have it removed, does that mean we'll also have to remove it from the east wall of the Justice Dept building?

What I hate worse is when dopes like the original poster post plagiarised stupid paranoid shit.

It's one thing to be an idiot who believes this crap in the first place but at least has an original thought on the subject (see, e.g., Rush Limbaugh) and attempts to articulate it through the spoken or written word. It's an entirely new level of stupid to then take that original thought and not only believe it and stand behind it, but then to repeat it to others and pass it off as their own (see, e.g., Dittoheads).

At least the first idiot had enough synapses firing to compose a rambling, mostly coherent thought. All our hero here did was copy and paste.

                            Plagiarism Fail.

Tannoudji is a copy paste idiot.

His first post on the board, which created the dancing banana Mexican emoticon can be found here.

The famous Ezekiel 38, Jeremiah 50 post showed up on some other board the day before.

I highly doubt Tannoudji is of intellectual capacity to have created either post by himself.
