Waving the Write Thread: I propose a contest

So, this is a total rip off of Ubersite's contest, but I don't care. That site hasn't produced anything in about 5-6 years.

I propose the first ever 'Waving the Write' contest. This writing contest will take the form of a single elimination bracket. Each writer will compete head to head with another writer in each round-- voting will decide the winner. Entries will be anonymous to the public to prevent favoritism.

Each match-up will have a 'theme' to write about; a common idiom or phrase. Format and length is at the discretion of the writer. Images, video and animated gifs may be used, but must not be the main focus of the piece.

Each submission must be made via PM to the organizer (me), who will then post a poll. A week of voting will take place between each round.
