Ummm, don't forget to eat some Blue Parrot (if it's still there).

I loved the Blue Parrot. I think just about every celebration dinner we had with friends growing up was at the Blue Parrot; I remember their meatballs were as big as soccer balls.
One of my favorite pictures from growing up was me in a denim "suit" (age 6 perhaps? So, think 1976ish style) standing on a chair at the Blue Parrot with my best friend next to me in a similar 1976ish outfit. I haven't been there for at least 15 or so years. I'm heading back to Boulder for labor day weekend . . . I might have to visit the BP because of this.

You can buy their spaghetti sauce in the jars in the CO grocery stores. It's still the only jarred sauce my husband will eat. He is there quite a bit on business still so he brings it back with him. NOTHING can replicate their awesome thick noodles, though. I can even overlook their crappy iceburg and shredded carrots salad for a meal there.
