  • What would you do?

I bought a vinyl record from The Rentals more than a year ago. The album wasn't done, but ordering early was cheaper or came with special gifts or something, which I can't remember. Anyway, it came today and is a gorgeous translucent gold double-album. Great!

When I opened it, the Album was wrapped in padding and another package was inside. I opened it and it contained this: https://www.amazon.com/Star-trek-con.../dp/0345251377

Then I looked at that other package that was inside and it was addressed to someone else and from someone other than The Rentals. But it was inside of my package from The Rentals. I am weirded out.

Part of me thinks I should wrap it up and send it to the address that was on the inside package. Actually, that's what I am going to do. The end.

Okay, again . . . this was inside of my package. I have it back in the packaging it was in that I opened (good thing I didn't rip it open). It has postage on it. Can I just put this in my mailbox with the flag up, or will the post office be freaked out that I have it in my mailbox when they last saw it somewhere else and suddenly it's back on the radar?

I suspect my package was opened; though, there is no evidence of that and I had to pull a tab to open the larger box with my album and this package (and the current packaging notes it contains an album). But if my original packaging was opened and destroyed then this smaller package could have been accidentally inserted for this new packaging???

Just put it out there. The USPS doesn't give a shit about it. They're too busy fraudifying elections.

And make sure Cameron MacTavish becomes your porn name.

Just pay shipping and put it in a new envelope to the address listed.

This was taken inside the house of that freak, Sara Hosch, who sent it.

I think if someone paid for shipping then the post office should take this back and get it to the destination without me paying again. I am going to take it to the Post Office tomorrow and explain what happened. I don't think putting it in my mailbox will work.

Yeah, that's a tiny bit obsessive (assuming that is the current owner's pic). But it also fits with someone who would have a 1976 Star Trek book to sell.

The note the seller included inside of the package made it clear that this seller does a lot of selling on Ebay. I think she buys and sells stuff over and over. It also makes me think that there is not a ton of money in that business.

This is how a really bad episode of Black Mirror starts.
