      • The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference. Because of indifference, one dies before one actually dies. To be in the window and watch people being sent to concentration camps or being attacked in the street and do nothing, that's being dead. - Elie Wiesel

Look at it this way, you have to take the cruelty of an oppressive government for granted. However, if you're hurt and your friends and neighbors say nothing that can somehow be worse with some people. Wiesel went through more than anyone on this board has endured so I'll respect his philosophical outlook..

                          • Never seem wiser, nor more learned, than the people you are with. Wear your learning, like your watch, in a private pocket: and do not pull it out and strike it; merely to show that you have one. - Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield
