Cancelling Slant subscription

Anyone done that? I seem to be at a loss. In the member services area there is a way to give them alternate billing information (continue giving them money), and a place to upgrade your subscription (to give them even more money), but no place to cancel your subscription that I can find. They give you a phone number to call for further questions. Maybe that's the route. Will the customer service reps even be American or will they be in New Delhi?

Seems pretty shady that they make it easy to get more money out of you fields to fill out and buttons to push right in front of your face but you have to jump through hoops, or solve puzzles, to find the hidden cancellation button or something. Seems to be a sketchy outfit with tactics like that.

You had a Slant subscription? That's almost as embarrassing as a Phog.net Premium membership.

You have to call to cancel. I was a little annoyed when I called to cancel because they said that I got two months free and then I would need to call back to cancel. I asked if they would just retroactively give me two months free and reimburse me and they said no. So now I have to call back to cancel in a few weeks. I'd rather it be easy like Scout because I don't want to get hassled.

I did that once. It felt sooooo good.

You don't even miss it after a while, although I occasionally wish I could get Jon Kirby's take on some stuff.

Did they ever give the whole story about Mangino's player/staff treatment in Slant premium?

EDIT: and yes, you do have to call. They try to keep you on by offering you stuff, and you just have to say you're not reading it anymore.

It's not even close to that embarrassing. Hell, even Bossi defected to Rivals. And there is some pretty good info in premium now and again (on the football side anyway), but the bootlickers are too much. Just too much. They're like a collection of Kirby groupies who can't wait to throw themselves at him. I tried it for about a year, and now I'm done.

Damn, I hate having to call to cancel. What a pain in the ass. That's a pretty shady operating procedure.

I agree with the above, except I was stupid enough to go back. I got snared in the Mangino BS. I have found the best was to cancel the slant is to lose a credit card. It has worked twice for me now. At least I'm not getting relentless emails from Shay, like I did last time.

Ah, feels good with no AIDZ over here. I cancelled my Slant membership years ago by just sending an email to Shay, they must have changed it when a bunch of people left due to all of the ass kissing.
