I can't decide if I think fall seasonals are the best because I really like them the most or because I associate them with football season. Regardless, I look forward to the beer this time of year more than any other time. I had my first little bit of a fall seasonal last week at Red Hook. It made me all sorts of happy.

but did she go out and offer a blowie? If not, then it's nothing you couldn't have done for yourself... unless, of course, you can ess your own Dee.

Beer ecstacy: I just bought four 12-packs of SA Octoberfest and 2 12-packs of SN Summerfest in one grocery store swoop.

                Let the festing begin.

Just finished the first one. Very smooth and malty. A perfect example of the Marzen style. Worthy of Munich.

SN Summerfest didn't do much for me. It didn't have enough flavor for me.

Cold or room temp....it stays just as crisp on the finish and won't let you down.

Damn, not me. I've spent over $700 on SN Summerfest this summer. I still have two cases cold and one case next to the garage fridge. I compared it to SA Noble Pils the other day and I found it just slightly better. I still have three cases of Noble Pils.

Wow, I wouldn't have ever compared it to SA Noble Pils, which I like a lot. NP is much more hoppy and Summerfest much more mellow. SN makes some great beers but I just didn't taste any of their usual style in Summerfest. The same thing happened with Anchor Steam's Summer brew. In fact, Anchor Steam's didn't taste like anything.

Try some Hoppin' Frog (brewery) sometime.

Maybe you got a bad batch of Summerfest? NP is a bit hoppier overall. But Summerfest could win the heart of any Czech, Bavarian or Tyrolean pils/pivo enthusiast. It's THAT good, imo.
