I find it funny that people are jumping all over this guy for making a statement of protest. Would I personally do it? No. Would I want to be that clerk? No. Would I, as a manager, accept his payment? Yes. I'd take it, put in the work to do it, and never let the man know I was unhappy. I wouldn't have given him the satisfaction. That would have been my own statement of protest back to him.

I do agree with this part. But it doesn't make the guy any less of a toolshed. The ONLY person who is going to care that this guy paid in pennies is the clerk who has to deal with it. A pretty misplaced protest by the dude, imo.

I did something similar by paying my meter fine in lawrence with pennies. It didnt fit in the slot so I had to hand deliver it at courthouse. It was funny to me.

That said, I don't like French people, so fuck this guy for stealin' my idea.
