that sucks

happened to me at the New Years Georgia Tech game a few years back, but I didn't get offered extra...just a regular refund..the line was too long so I just bailed (student ticket, $10, not complaining)

Heck I wish I was one of them. Pay $800 for ticket, get $2,400 refund plus get into the stadium to stand and watch the game or sit in a lounge and watch on monitors.

The extra $1,600 would just about cover parking, drinks, and food at the stadium.

perhaps, but, if you think about it...there's airfare, lodging, etc

that jag said he spent ~$10K and he was clearly single....but all things considered, they probably wouldn't have gone if they knew they weren't gonna get to be "at the game"

Major fail by the city of Dallas.

Those seats were pre-approved by the NFL, city, and fire marshal. And then the day of the game they decide against it.....complete George Bush league.

According to a PR guy with the NFL on Twitter, the 400 fans got to watch the game in a stadium club or standing room, go on the field post game, free food, drink, merch, $2400, and free tickets to SB46.

I'd say that's a pretty sweet deal for their troubles.

Sweet deal my ass. First they had to score the tickets -- no easy feat. Then they had to take time off work, not always easy. They had to make travel plans. Accomodations. Airlines or driving plans. Then they had to get all the way there only to be told "SOL, FU"?

I'd demand tickets to next year's Super Bowl in addition to the other stuff, and they'd better be equivalent or better seats.

I just heard a guy in the same prdicament on Jim Rome and he said he didn't get tickets to SB 46.
