Probably a little harsh, but in the article, it said she could reapply for admission in the fall. So, it's basically just a semester suspension, which doesn't seem all that bad. And it's not the school's problem that she wanted to move to Virginia in the summer.
And she may claim to be all innocent, but what was the purpose of posting that on Facebook? I doubt it was educational. When you do something dumb like that, face the consequences.
My wife's a doctor. If she decides to take a picture of her with a thumb-up next to a passed out dude or post somebody's injury on Facebook, she understands that she would face repercussions. It's not that hard.
Wait a fucking minute. The nursing instructor said it was okay so the students could "share their experience on Facebook."
Then the student is guilty of violating an unwritten rule about professionalism? How about the nursing instuctor being disciplined for condoning the photo session?
That may not be bullshit, but there's a huge offensive odor coming off this story.
