I am taking my circus on the road today. Our flight from Seattle to KC is delayed two hours. After checking in, we received $60 in meal vouchers (for four of us) AND $400 in future flight credit. Just for a two hour delay. The tickets were only $225 to start.

Is it just me or is this extra generous?

(and, no, I did not flash any boob for this).

That is incredibly generous and completely out of the norm for just a 2 hour delay. There must be some internal airline reason they did this because this compensation makes no sense given the slight inconvenience.

they only compensated per paying passenger....we didn't buy a ticket for Max.

On another note....it's hard to spend $60 on qdoba for 2 adults and 2 kids. I have 10 bottled waters, vitamin waters and a dozen cookies if anyone wants to meet my plane at KCI.

My husband just told me they waived the baggage fees as well which saved us $75.

And I forgot we used miles for two of the tickets. We have now officially turned a profit on this trip.

I'm glad ICT is taking pity on me and skipping going to the game. I'll give him one of my comped Qdoba waters as thanks.

Btw....the minute we stepped outside of KCI to get on the rental car shuttle, Ben goes, "ewwwww!! It smells like dog poop out here. Oh. I forgot we are in Missouri."
