Mine is at 62 during the day, 70 when I am home, and 60 while I sleep.

And I was surprisingly okay with it. I was comfortable. But I'm in the cubicles. People in individual offices who had their doors closed came out looking like they ran a marathon.

My heat was out in my unit (it's like 5-15 degrees outside). The temp went from 72 to 68, 64, 62, 61 ... Supposedly, it got fixed today. I had the set point at 82, hoping to get it to start going up. Usually, I stick to the typ. 72.

Mostly it doesn't kick on, but it did during the four-day/night cold snap a week and a half ago. And I only turned on the heat reluctantly, because the cat got really whiny and the other animals (mice, python) seemed cold.

my insulation-free LA house has a single, carbon monoxide-producing wall furnace built in the days before radio. when it's weenie-shrinking outside I turn the heat on "High" for two hours before bed and one hour after, with the heat off overnight so I don't die in my sleep. there's also a lot of wearing sweaters indoors.

I set my heater to 89. When it gets toasty I crank the AC down to 57. It's a cycle I repeat all winter.

I usually just light a barrel full of gasoline on fire. It really warms up the house and is also great for attracting hobos.
