That's interesting (not really a surprise though)
I'm a bit disappointed that I'm tooling around with next to worst

indeed
I traveled back to western Kansas and I realized how limited T-Mobile is for traveling into rural areas
I don't understand how T-Mo ranked lower in value, considering their plans seem to be much better than Verizon's.
Cell phone coverage is a really regional thing...except for AT&T..it blows ass everywhere

There's a big gap between AT&T at the bottom and T-Mobile, Spint and Verizon in the middle.
Do you know anybody with U.S. Cellular? I've known people with US Cellular who had spotty coverage -- no signal at all -- in some major U.S. cities. Maybe all the CR voters are South Siders?

I haven't used AT&T since 1998, when I asked them why in the hell they were charging me $2 per month for Caller ID, something that costs them absolutely nothing. They claimed it was a service. I told them to go fuck themselves.

I have AT&T home phone/internet
I DREAD ever having to call their customer service.
I don't think there's a worse experience in all of existence.....there's absolutely no comparison between AT&T and any other large corporation...I don't think I've ever seen worse customer support than what AT&T provides.
In the last 3 years I've moved 3 times, and every single time they screwed up my movers order and I had issues getting internet setup at the new address.

There was some discussion of this during Robin's News on The Howard Stern Show. Somebody mentioned that AT&T uses contractors for all their service calls instead of having employees of AT&T do the work. Can anybody confirm that? That's probably why their home service is so shitty -- there's very little accountability.

it's true
When I was in college I worked for one company that did tech stuff for SBC DSL (bought by AT&T later, but same idea).
Guys left their headsets down and let calls ring through while they were out smoking cigs....one guy would take naps and let calls ring through constantly...no one cared
can't imagine it's much different anywhere else...everyone said whatever they could to get the customer off the line quickly

I would love to go back to T-Mobile or someone else, but AT&T and Verizon own the rural markets. I need service outside of cities. AT&T has been no worse than Verizon for me and I never have a problem with dropped calls on either one unless I am in a spotty coverage area.

Yeah, that's my major gripe about T-Mobile. I go camping in Leavenworth County in the spring/summer months. I'm ten minutes from Tonganoxie but I get no T-Mob signal. In a way it's nice to have no phone out there. But sometimes I need to make a call and I have to de-camp to drive a few miles to catch the T-Mob signal. That sucks wang.

Can you even sign up for U.S. Cellular in KC?

I didn't even know U.S. Cellular existed until moving into central Kansas.
