  • Ode to Black Snake

I am quaffing my first two Black Snakes.
    I feel the warm glow
    Of home.
    Effortlessly.

I've never known this. I feel like I have failed at life.

The best Black Snakes are hand draghted by Ian "DJ PROOF" at Free State.y However, mixing my own from the bottled variety is a close approximation of the flavors.

I've learned so much from this board in such a short time.

        Which one is Ian?

Ian "DJ PROOF" is the stocky Latin guy, always has a good rapport, unlike some of the more brusque bar staff there (looking at you, DAVE). Ian is the best bartender in Lawrence, which puts him in contention for the best bartender in the universe.

Glad I know his name. He always gets a little bit more when I get a beer poured by him.

I bought a six pack of each before heading out. I love it. Made one for my dad he loved it. Kudos to Hoopo.

I must bump this thread, not to further expound on the pleasures of Free State beer, but instead to show some love to something else wonderful: Boulevard Dark Truth Stout. This beer is breathtaking. It's rendered my facility with language useless.
