I swear, all the hyped up security in the US post 9/11 is slowly turning this country into a police state. By that I mean unecessary hyper vigilance on all fronts. Then media jumps on every single minor incident and turns it into a potential terrorist threat and that just feeds the monster.

I just wish our government would spend as much time and effort stopping terrorist plots directed at us from overseas as they do patting down some old lady on her way to Des Moines to visit the grandkids.
