  • Stevie Ray Vaughn

One of those artists that the more you listen to him the more you appreciate how damn good he was. The guy could play his ass off. Ever wonder about deceased artists especially those that went early in their careers what they would be doing now?

    Excellent choice of songs there

I listened to Life by the Drop last night on my iPod. What a great song. My favorite is his cover of Little Wing though.

    He was awesome.

Its hard to believe he'll have been dead for 20 years at the end of the month.

My dad told me that he had tickets to see SRV in the 80s and wasn't able to go to the show. I think he regrets it to this day.

            Re: Stevie Ray Vaughn

I got to see Stevie Ray Vaughn and his brother Jimmy Vaughn's band Fabulous Thunderbirds at Memorial Hall in KC less than a year (iirc) before the helicopter crash that took SRV's life. One of my favorite musical memories. Both bands tore it up.
