What would be your top 10? This is too hard for me so I'll have to think about it.

I don't know about "best" as some arbitrary measure by critics, but my favorite, the one that I've watched over and over again and get continuous levels of enjoyment from, is Watchmen.

It was pretty solid. Slightly depressing and sobering. But I watched it not knowing anything about it and was pleasantly surprised, I recommend it.

+1 on the rec. It's a great film.

Am I the only person on the planet that thought No Country for Old Men was just okay? It's nowhere even near 'great' IMO.
Oh, and +1 for the Pianist and There Will Be Blood. Forgot those two, those are pretty good.

I enjoy the man-hunt type films. This one happens to have a bizarre, terminator-like hunter that uses compressed air and silenced shotguns. Pretty bad-ass. I like that there is no good or bad defined in the movie and that there's no 'justice prevails' element. It brings into question if evil is something new, or just something inherent in all men and generations.
I can see why some folks are luke warm about it.

Re: Best films of the last decade?
Shaun of the Dead
There Will be Blood
Devil's Backbone
Memento
Up
Two Towers
City of God
Amores Perros
Wrestler
Gone Baby Gone
In Bruges
A couple of those are favorites, not bests.
I'm apparently the one person who didn't like Eternal Sunshine. It did absolutely nothing for me.
I liked No Country, but it wasn't a top-tier movie for me.
