Where at in Mexico? If it's La Ciudad de Drug Murders, no thank you.

Yes, the specific location in Mexico is very important here.

Mexico, hands down. Although all those places you listed suck. Go to Ixtapa and stay away from idiots as much as possible.

Again, as Ono said, where in these locations, also very important. If it was some random hotel in PV or Cabo I didn't know anything about, I'd say Austin. If it was the places I know down there, I'd say Cabo first then PV followed a distant third by Austin (no disrespect Austin, I love you, but you're not a beach and margarita location and that's hard to overcome).

You and your girlfriend have been given the choice of a 3 night getaway in Austin or Mexico in early December. Which do you choose, and why?
[/quote]I am going to need to see a pic of the girlfriend.

How much travel time is included to both? 3 nights isn't very long........

We just flew St. Louis to PV. We took off just after 6:00 am St. Louis time and were on the beach, drink in hand by about 12:30/1:00 PV time, and that includes a 20-30 minute shuttle ride to the hotel (but we also gained an hour). We were there four nights but three would have been fine as well.
