Have you seen Legos these days?? The sets are insane. Sam wants some Harry Potter lego set that costs $100. That sounds like a great idea....spending $100 on 1000 little tiny pieces of crap all around my house.
I literally thousands upon thousands of football/baseball cards.
Like boxes full of binders, and more boxes full of sets and loose cards. It is insane how many I have. And insane how much allowance and gift money I wasted on them. But god I did love them.
Also loved legos. Hope teh parents still have them at home and didn't sell them. Multiple buckets and sets of those too.
And I really got into those 3D puzzle things for a while too. Still have multiple of those things boxed up in a closet or basement somewhere back home.
Got into Connex? or however you spelled them. The things that Oobers posted. Had tons of those sets, but never quite got into them like legos.
Had tons of homemade style lincoln logs. My dad made a ton of them and we had box upon box of those thing I played with for hours.
Nothing even close to this gun ever appeared in Star Trek. Yet it provided hours of ridiculous fun for me and my two brothers. I think we all had two guns apiece and hundreds of the disc projectiles.
Legos, basketball cards (this was in the Chicago area during Jordan's reign) and destroying stuff on railroad tracks.
We did stupid stuff like rocks at first (which the train would turn to dust), then we upgraded to stuff we'd find along the line: cans of paint, old bikes and dead rodents. I don't think the parents would have liked what we were running into down there: old drunks would talk to us at length, we'd find porno mags and spray paint stuff with unexpended cans we'd found.
