Just watched "Out for Blood In Silicon Valley" about Theranos and Elizabeth Holmes

the book "Bad Blood" is supposed to be better from what I've read, but I really enjoyed the doc....i'm always fascinated with people that are able to lie and stick to it even when they are figured out

almost even more fascinated by her "voice"

RE: her voice. It probably depends on if she’s truly a sociopath or not. People have said it’s because she wanted to sound authoritative and masculine.

I would theorize it was an unconscious attempt to disassociate her id from her super-ego. She knew she was defrauding people left and right. In order to justify it to herself, that it wasn’t her telling the lies, it was someone else. Someone masculine with a deep voice.

            Or shes just a sociopath.

Looks like you need to shell out a few bucks to download/stream it.

Resurrecting this thread. Watched "20 Feet From Stardom" and the Amy Winehouse docs this week with gf and limited fam, and am looking for more suggestions in these unprecedented times.

                        Ideas?

I was completely enthralled by the Wild Wild Country docuseries on Netflix when it came out a couple years ago.
