Ok...I know we're all ridiculously smart and ethical

but I know you cheated in HS...how'd you do it?

In biology, we had a ridiculous teacher...Mrs. Marquardt...she was super stingy about cheating...well, anyway, we're taking a test and she steps out of the room...guy next to me (probably drunk) says "JOE, I know that our tests are different, but I figured out the pattern....show me your paper"

    Bold attempt

So instead of telling a story about how you worked the system, you tell one about how you were the patsy. Nice.

I convinced a teacher that he had lost my paper that I never wrote. I'm pretty sure he had an idea, because he only gave me a C on the paper. Still, that was good enough for me not to do the work.

Any class that involves math, I'd put all the equations into the "y=" section of a graphing calculator and what they were used for. If there was too much to fit, I'd write it all on a notecard and slide it up between the case adnt eh back of the calculator. It was the perfect size.

Plagiarism programs you upload papers to are a joke. They never flagged direct quotes from internet sites and books. Whether or not I cited them or not.

If I really needed to cheat I'd write as much info on a notecard. If it was cold I wear a hoodie and keep it in my hoodie pocket.

Programs in the calculator for the most part. I've had some pretty bullshit equations to memorize in my day and it wasn't like everyone else wasn't doing the same damned thing.

Back in high school I made up fake sources for citations and invented a source for an in-class newspaper article.

Write the stuff on a notecard.....put it inside a half zipped up fleece or hoodie that was poofed out in the middle when you were sitting.

Also, a bunch of kids had a little system that worked on bubble tests, never got caught. Smart person would get their answer, fill in bubble, and put hand back down towards whatever corner of the desk the answer was. top left=A, top right=B, bottom left=C bottom right=D and middle=E.

Sadly your students write incorrect information on their note cards.

Do yourself a favor. Say no calculators but four-function. Provide any key equations.

not providing equations is stupid... you still have to know how to apply them and on what type of problems.

Hence my giving into the social norm of 'cheating'.

Need a few extra days on a paper? If the prof wants you to e-mail it to him just corrupt the word file by opening it up in notepad and deleting a few lines of text. Done it a few times, and it has worked every time.

                            Cheating Strategies: School Version

I once built up a good rapport with a calculus teacher in high school. Sat in front, got As on all the homework (which I usually just looked up the answers too), etc. Then I was conveniently sick for both of the major tests. Which he let me do as take homes because he thought I was honest. Immoral? Yes. Did I get an A in the class? Hell yes. Turns out I didn't even need the class. Oh well.

Also, in my Spanish class, I would have my neighbor (who is from Mexico) write my spoken quizzes and just teach me how to sound it out.
