What do you ride? I recently obtained a used Trek Fuel EX 5.5 (full suspension) and I love it so far. I really want a Stumpjumper but that's for when I actually have money.

2008 Cannondale F2 29'er
I ride most Sunday's @ the river trails when it's dry and not 100 degrees.

I have a GT 29er hybrid that I typically use for cardio on the levy trails and commuting. Gotta love how fast those 29s roll.
I rode the Lawrence river trail yesterday and I'm riding again this evening. I'm surprised I haven't gotten heat stroke yet.

Re: Any mountain bikers here?
Ya the 29 inch wheels were born for rides like river trail. I haven't been out to Landahl park this year but it's a really fun set of trails, lots of snakes and a shooting range near by to boot.

Landahl is pretty sweet. It's been a while since I've been as well, though.

Re: Any mountain bikers here?
You fags were the ones who were always biking around KU's campus breaking every road law possible then bitching when those cops gave you tickets weren't you???
And yes I have a ton of hatred for bikers on KU's campus. One flew through a stop sign and drilled me on a crosswalk. His hipster ass flew off the bike while I caught myself wtih my hand before falling all the way. He got up and tried to act like it was my fault and argued he doesn't have to stop at stop signs because those are for cars. I hate any biker who is not on a sidewalk, bikepath, or residential street.

You strike me as the type who rides up between cars to the front of a stop light then pulls out at teh same time as cars and either A) pulls in front of a line of cars in 1 lane forcing them all to go slow or B) rides between the lanes as a hazardous asshole.
I seriously hate people who ride bikes on any street that is over 25 mph that doesn't have a bike lane/path. Lee's Summit built a massive bike path around it's city and there are still jackasses who ride on the street (45 mph) when the bikepath is right next to it. I was thrilled when I found out KU police were writing tickets to bikers.
If you're only on trails then awesome. I never have to deal with you and you're using a bike for what it's meant for in this day and age.

I always keep as far right as possible when I have to ride on the street, use my arms to signal turns, never cut between or in front of cars, etc. I ride on Mass Street all the time because it a has a lower speed limit and I have to cross the bridge over the Kaw to get to the river trail.
