My Dad was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer yesterday. Talk about a kick in the nuts. It doesn't look or sound very positive. :dirtybird cancer

Dude that sucks...but don't give up hope. My mother and two of my really good friends are all cancer survivors.

Thank you all for all of the well wishes.
sbd, nothing definitive yet, but the literature they provided had Stage IV across the top of the page.
From the research I have done this weekend it sounds like Stage IV because it has metastasized into his spine. They are going to go after the tumor on his spine starting today. They are worried about if that tumor collapses, gets worse it could cause him to be paralyzed from the neck down.
They are going to do a biopsy on the tumor on his spine today, put in a port for chemo and start radiation today.Comment

Yikes. Prayers to you, Lime. We have a family friend that is going through the same right now. Hope they can get it knocked out. And let us know how it's going. I imagine you'll need some cathartic outlets.
