    Do you eat it?

My parents were in town and they picked up some sort of popsicle type thing and it was pretty good...nice to have

I'm not talking about at restaurants, but at home, sometimes it's nice to have

    thoughts?

I currently have these Margarita Freeze pop things in my freezer.

    Does that count?

        Re: Dessert

If I have it on hand, yes, I eat it. I don't want to get in the habit of eating dessert every night, but I usually always have to something either sweet or alcoholic later in the evening.

I opened my pantry and contemplated making brownies about an hour ago. I decided I had enough sweets already today (people keep bringing us dinner complete with dessert every night).....but now thanks to this thread, I think I am going to make the brownies.

I would rather spend my calories on alcohol than dessert.

This is me too. When we eat out (lol) I'm usually too stuffed to handle dessert then, but I'm always jonesing for something sweet after eating at home.

                    Re: Dessert

I guess when I was brought up, the folks always said 'no' to dessert when we were out at a restaurant. Now I don't even plan for it. The concept of 'saving room' never seems to enter my head.

I suppose if I were more sophisticated, I'd know the nuances of 'courses'. Maybe I'll learn, but I'm more likely to stick to a Bloomin' Onion, a steak and a beer.

                      Re: Dessert

I may fix a bowl of ice cream, but most generally I don't have dessert. If we eat at one of those crappy restaurants with the 1 appetizer, 2 dinner, 2 dessert things for 19 bucks, then I may have dessert. At home we never cook something for dessert so we really never have it on hand, unless it's ice cream ready to serve.

                        Dessert

Does the amount of time between dinner and the ingesting of the sweet matter? We'll eat dinner at 6:00 but then I'll snag a few cookies or such at like 8:00.

                          Re: Dessert

No. During the summer, my job has a lot of catered meals which means lots of desserts. Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, donuts (for breakfast). It's not a good time of year to lose weight.

After riblets and a couple brewtus', there is nothing like a dessert shot from the 'Bee's
