FF24 Goes Ballistic On iPhone 4 and AT&T

Dear AT&T and Apple,

Fuck you.

Apple, your phone is the biggest piece of shit I have ever seen. The original iPhone, you know, the one that used EDGE was a better PHONE than this. Because, after all, this is a phone, not a computer. And AT&T, you aren't helping matters with your shitty fucking coverage in downtown Kansas City. You would think that with a newish phone and 3G in a major city that you could get more than .25Mps download speeds.

But here is the biggest problem, what the fuck can I do? I'm locked into a contract, everyone in my family uses AT&T. So I could pay cancelation fees to go to Verizon and get what, the Incredible? You can't even use voice and data at the same time on that! And even if I switched all those AT&T to AT&T "free" calls would be gone.

I hate you both for putting me in this position.

I switched to T-Mobile because Verizon was having tower overload issues during the day here in Bentonville (Share the same tower @ home with the walmart corporate offices).

their 3g coverage isn't nearly as widespread as Verizons, but at least when I'm in towns that have it it's fast

I pull about 3-4 meg regularly on the DL on my Vibrant


the G2 from early reports is pulling well over 7 meg down on the HSPA + , with early reports over 10 mbps even

Highest I have ever seen my iPhone 4 go is about 2.5mps down....

I get that on my Vibrant even during the busy part of the day


of course, it's not HSPA+ hardware, but it gets an extra speed boost in the presence of HSPA

no offense evolve... I've had AT&T and Tmobile in the past year and Tmobile gets absolute shit coverage in KC. I'm not talking about just downloading, but I'll have no service in the middle of the suburbs. I know you hate Apple (and probably AT&T by association), but Tmobile is absolute shit.

I've got T-mo in Tulsa and while they don't have 3G everywhere, it's getting better

and the only places I can't get service at all are all in my office building

I couldn't get it in my apartment for shit in Lawrence, while everyone else had full service. I also could never get it in any place that had concrete walls or was in a basement... again every other provider could get service there.

I held onto Verizon for a long time because I got coverage everywhere....

But I don't live in downtown KC.....if I did, I probably wouldn't have T-Mobile

Just gotta find what works well in the places you frequent and go with it
